fun cards

looking for some fun cards for the summer season...check out lucky bee press
i know of a bunch of june birthdays that i could use these for..

so this is in Baltimore?

i love design*sponge's sneak peak and nothing gets me more excited then getting to see how artists live and arrange their everyday living. I have noticed presto bingo way back on etsy and loved the fact that they are from Baltimore! This sneal peak comes from husband and wife team joyce hesselberth and dave plunkert of spur design. both talented illustrators, chances are you’ve seen their work in any number of national publications or around the web with presto bingo, their new line of kid-friendly modern art. today they’re opening the doors of their custom designed baltimore home (for all you with kids in the baltimore area, be sure to check out their blog). you can click here for more full-sized images of their home. now i have one question...where is this beautiful house?

I'm feeling much better after that horrible day. Patrick grilled his special hamburgers to make my evening better! then it was up to the sweat shop to finish two more bags. i'm getting ready for pile of craft. I'm going to start selling my bags out of Trixies Palace in Fells Point after that. Plus ,I believe I'm apart of a trunk show at double dutch in July! I need some vaca money! We leave for Whistler on the 26th.. .Finals start tomorrow...meaning summer is right around the corner!

i love the act of stuff objects, especially when stitched details embellish the surface. now add surprising items like everyday objects, such as chairs...who would want a stuff "chair"....not a cute teddy bear or bird, but a house, a chair , a car. i love these objects by an upstate New York painter turned momma raising two boys. All stuffed toys are made with 100% wool felt and stuffed with lambswool. Check out here wares at here etsy store here.

A night to Remember....making McB proud

Last night was the reception for the Senior Show for Baltimore County Schools. This is the big show where all the high schools get to put their best work from their seniors and juniors into this show. It's at Goucher college's Rosenberg Gallery. Its a really BIG DEAL for us art teachers and art students. Awards are awarded...accolades are exclaimed and it really does a great job of patting us art people in the back and say"you've done a good job...because look how amazing your students have grown. WE, at Parkville High, RULED last night. I mean RULED! Everybody showed up...that includes my awesome staff of art teachers and ALL of the students showed up. And boy did they look GREAT! I will Absolutely miss these kids..except for Justin C...he has another year with my insane-ness to put up with. Here they are by their works with the awards they received. I am so proud!

cool placemats

in the place mat department most of us have our stand-by fabric decors for everyday or formal use. but how about these pop-up references to home and entertainment! the designs remind me of elegant cartoon land...i guest it s the tweedy bird bird cage and Victorian chair motif. these were created by Publique Living at the national stationary show in new york that was graciously reviewed by design*sponge.

I love Rauschecberg's work since the first time i saw his work in the BMA. I've loved his work ever since i started to paint...i mean truly understand paint.

quickie vote

my favorite peoples at let's share, are having a vote for berkley illustration 's new animal for their June line. Its real quick , like tomorrow is the last day...sorry I just caught it. i added their link to the jennyjen links to continue checking them out. i love their animals in suit prints...i'm hoping you noticed them in prime areas in my living room. i'm thinking that a porcupine would look real good in that suit!
